Inspired by the timeless lines of the Louis XVI style, it is distinguished by its baluster silhouette resting on a delicate pedestal base, accented by fine rows of beads. Its removable dome is finely pierced with geometric and floral motifs.

Originally intended to elevate the ritual of coffee, tea, or desserts by delicately dusting them with powdered sugar or cinnamon, it stands out today, beyond its primary function, as a true decorative object. It will add a touch of nobility and light to a contemporary brunch table.

Condition

Exterior: The high-density silver plating offers a superb mirror polish (fully showcased in our presentation video). The design of its perforated dome, combining geometric motifs and floral cutouts, bears witness to a remarkable technical precision that magnifies the play of light through the silver-plated metal.
It is an object imbued with nostalgia, finding a terribly modern resonance on our current tables. In this time of returning Sunday brunches and shared coffee rituals, it leaves its status as a display piece to become a living, highly convivial table accessory once again. Its superb mirror shine and impeccable condition make it a magnificent piece of style to give as a gift or to treat yourself.

Information

Manufacture: Société Française d'Alliage de Métaux (SFAM)
Object type: Table sugar caster (Muffineer)
Origin: Private collection (France)
Period: Circa 1950
Material: High-quality silver-plated metal
Hallmarks: Rectangular maker's mark "SFAM" and square weight hallmark "9" inscribed on the neck
Total height: 15 cm
Maximum diameter (at the curve of the body): 6 cm
Condition: Excellent overall condition.
